Date 30 - The Cyclist VI
The Scene: The parking lot of a church which houses small businesses within its ordained structure.
The Attire: Black t-shirt, black cycling pants, red shoes (coming off an afternoon ride).
The Meeting: Downtown spiritual edifice.
The Environment: Waiting in my car for The Cyclist to arrive.
Driving home, I got a call from The Cyclist. After speaking, we decided to get together at his non-profit, a unique idea that truly brings the old school back. I was exhausted and a little attitudinal, but I wanted to help him and see him (if I am completely honest).
The space was unique as it is housed within the basement of a former church. The church itself was massive, and how they converted it as a mixed-used space was rather innovative. In complete awe, I eventually snapped out of it. After all, I was asked to capture images of the space for their (he and his business partner) social media platforms. He showed off a bit, which I enjoyed. I shoot as a hobby and it was a pleasure to serve/support. The added bonus was being in his environment and learning more … more about his dreams … more about his passions … more about his life’s direction …
We left the non-profit and returned to a space where we were able to share and connect.
I enjoy his heart of honesty.
Note to Self: I thoroughly enjoy supporting other’s dreams. Stay open to all possibilities!
Shout Out to Men: Show your heart, it’s ok.
Question: What passion drives you?
